Things to Do in Sivota, Thesprotia

Beyond its exotic beaches, Sivota in Thesprotia is the perfect base to explore the whole Epirus Riviera and the Ionian Sea. From boat trips around the islets to day cruises to Paxos and the mythical Acheron river, there is plenty to fill your days.

Boat trips to the islets and Blue Lagoon

Sivota Bay is scattered with small green islets. A boat trip or rental takes you to the turquoise waters around Mourtemeno and to the hidden coves you can only reach from the sea. It is perhaps the most beautiful way to understand why Sivota is called the Caribbean of Greece.

Day cruise to Paxos and Antipaxos

Cruises depart from Sivota to the islands of Paxos and Antipaxos, famous for their sea caves and crystal clear water. A full day trip well worth it if you want to combine swimming with an island atmosphere.

A visit to Parga

Parga is the twin destination of Sivota on the Epirus Riviera. Its Venetian castle, colourful houses rising amphitheatrically above the sea and picturesque alleys make it a wonderful half day or full day of exploring.

The Acheron river

A little further south, the Acheron river and its cold springs offer rafting, canoeing, horse riding and walking through lush green scenery. Ideal for a refreshing day of adventure away from the beach.

The harbour and tavernas

The picturesque little harbour of Sivota comes alive in the evening. Dinner with fresh seafood beside the boats, as the sun sets over the Ionian, is the perfect end to the day.

The ideal base for all of this

Sivota Villa offers three private villas with a pool and Ionian sea views, right at the heart of all these experiences. Check availability and book →
