How to Get to Sivota, Thesprotia

Sivota sits in southern Thesprotia, on the Ionian Sea, a few kilometres below Igoumenitsa. You can reach it easily by car, by air through one of the nearby airports, or by ferry via the port of Igoumenitsa.

By car

From Athens the drive runs mainly along the Ionia Odos motorway and takes roughly five to six hours. Igoumenitsa is about 480 kilometres from Athens, and from there Sivota is around half an hour further south. From Thessaloniki you reach Igoumenitsa via the Egnatia Odos.

By air

The three nearest airports are Aktio (Preveza), Ioannina and Corfu. From Aktio and Ioannina you reach Sivota by car in about an hour and a half. Corfu is an island, so the usual route is to fly there and then take the ferry to Igoumenitsa, followed by a short drive to Sivota.

By ferry

The port of Igoumenitsa is about half an hour from Sivota and connects to Corfu, Paxos and Patras, as well as to Italy (Bari, Ancona, Brindisi and Venice). It is ideal for visitors driving from Italy or the rest of Europe with their own car.
